Chautauqua Wedding : Before

In the beginning…Today was the first day to Prepare our Historic Chautauqua Building for our granddaughter’s(Casey’s) wedding, which is next Saturday, April 16th. I guess you would really call today The Gathering Day…since we couldn’t get our hands on a bucket truck until Monday evening! Oh yes I said Bucket truck…this Building is huge!

Crew today includes…Casey(bride to be),her mother(Char) and Dad(Tadd) and this grandma(me) and grandpa Charlie…

It really is hard to show you how really huge this Chautauqua Building is,but on with a few pictures I took today. I’ll take some outside pictures of it tomorrow and show our progress as we go along.

Casey’s Bridal Shower

OK I haven’t bored you to …TEARS   yet with details of my granddaughter’s up and coming WEDDING…on April 16th,2011…But here it comes!   Just kidding this is… Her Bridal Shower! 

She is the first of my grand-children…I am very proud of her and I love her to pieces…(I know, now I sound like a Blathering ,grandma.) I guess I am…cause SHE is as Beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside.

Sorry these are rather blurry,but I was laughing so hard…I’m surprised they came out this good…You see Casey was playing a game where,she had to give the same answer Brett(the groom to be) gave or…put a piece of bubble gum in her mouth…and she ended up with 8 wrong answers…and 8 pieces of bubble gum…HaHa! …anyway she was a good sport and had quite a mouth full.

But all kidding aside…she will make a Beautiful Bride…until next time…Luv ya Casey!!!

Resale Booth

Hello…so it is a dull old grayish morning and so tired of it!!! I thought I would drop in and show you our (my sister’s and my)booth…in a local resale shop…”New 2 You” cute huh?  So we just got the lattice and box~side added to our booth and I got sick…better now,but sure knocked the wind out of me…anyway,I still need to tweek it and shelves are to be added…soon I hope(wink)…and we both have lots to bring in…more of that De~Stashing project I have started…

New Additions

Well ,my friend,Bev and I are making a break for it today…getting out while we can…between Winter Storms!  You know?Yes that’s right, we are going shopping…to a great little town of Tuscola…where there’s a couple of great Antique Shops,an Outlet Mall, and of course a neat Candy/Café Shop…to eat our lunch at…A full day of shopping…Yea!!! To finally break out of this *Cabin Fever* funk…

Icy Morning…

Here I am this morning,1st day of February(not my fav month ever),looking out my kitchen window. Wow! what a mess…Ice covers everything! And we aren’t done yet ,more to come…they say winds to pick up this afternoon,praying the icy covered electric lines stay strong and don’t snap…no *Heat* if they Snap…then predicted 6-10* inches of snow…Blowing Snow! Oh come on now! Not done yet…dropping temps! A big –4 actual degrees Wednesday Night…Is there an end to this Storm …or better yet to this Winter???

OK now back to the ICY Winter Scene out my kitchen window…really quite beautiful to view from *the inside looking out.*
